Iknowiknowiknowiknowiknow...I've been
slacking. Slacking doesn't even begin to describe it. I've accomplished NOTHING art wise this summer. But hey, maybe it's what I needed. I don't know. Ima try harder now that school is starting again, promise.
I noticed I haven't written a journal at all since I started working. I'm changing that right now, but I'm really tired, so bear with me here. If I can remember right, this is the sequence of events which happened to be my summer:

Let's start at the beginning.. my dad actually took a liking to Roarie, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. She is a lot bigger now, and crazier than ever. I've actually considered changing her name to Kamikazi. I can't wait until she gets declawed next week..my back and legs can't take anymore of her surprise attacks.

I ended up getting that job I mentioned before.. the one about building and packaging bumpers for GM Dodge Ram pickup trucks. I started 2 days after my birthday. The work was easy, just very repetitive and I could see it doing a number on your joints if you kept at it for years on end. I only had to do it for 2 months, and my wrist twinges if I turn it a certain way. The last week of work, they had me run some of the welders. Not very fun, but I did get over my fear of sparkelers. My boss was awesome, especially because his name was Willard. He was from Newfoundland, and I only ever understood like every 3rd word that came out of his mouth. On the last day of work, he talked to me for half an hour about turkeys. The people I worked with were the best and I'm going to miss them the most, and I curse them for getting me hooked on yet another TV series that I don't really need to be watching.

Mid July my mother, my best friend and I took a trip down to Lexington Kentucky for Breyerfest, pretty much a horse festival for those who don't know. It's sort of become an annual trip now, which I'm glad of because it's so beautiful there. I took a bazillion pictures, as usual, and I've been too lazy to post/edit many of them, as usual. Every year we have gone, it's always been so hot that you could barely breathe. I packed my clothes accordingly. We arrive, and it's sooo bloody cold, we had to buy sweaters because all we packed were shorts and t-shirts. Thank god for the heated pool at the hotel. Last year we were there, my mum and I met some great people from Iowa, a mother and her son. I had really hoped we would run into them again the following year, but doubted it. But, sure enough, we found them again this year and had more of an oppertunity to talk. And we went for the best trail ride I have ever been on in my life. I didn't think it would be possible to top last years, but I was mistaken.

Few weeks later was the family reunion at my grandma's cottage up north on Hubbard lake. It rained the whole time we were there but one day, but still found ways to entertain ourselves. I was reminded how much I fail at volleyball, and my crazy ass friend decided to go tubing in skinny jeans and a t-shirt.

I don't tube. I point and laugh. *is chicken* Oh, and we made a short documentary about deer because we happened to run into 3 wild ones when I had my camera with me.

My mum, my cousin, my aunt and I went to Virginia for 5 days in the middle of August. We made a day trip to Washington DC and saw the White House, Washington Monument and pretty much every other tourist attraction/memorial there, including part of the Smithsonian museum and National Gallery. It was over 92 degrees that day, so it was pretty miserable to walk everywhere. We ended up coming home a day early because my house finally sold.

The house officially was sold this time, and they wanted us moved out in 2 weeks. Not gonna happen. We agreed on September 25th as the moving day, so I've been packing a ton lately, and will continue to do so over the next couple weeks. My mum ended up buying a house in Amherstburhg about 7 mins more in town from the house I live in now, which also happens to be my ex's house. Fun. Guess who gets his room? Aaaand my dad bought a house in Lasalle about 10 minutes away from this house. It's closer to my school, but both my parents know I've decided to just live with whomever I want, when I want sort of deal.

I start my Interior Design classes at St.Clair College this Wednesday. My schedule is kinda crazy, and clashes a bit with my horse feeding schedule, but I'll work it out. I do get Tuesdays off though which is pretty awesome. Textbooks are insanely expensive by the way. So are parking passes. My gawd.

IGOTACELLPHONE. Yeah, I know..big deal, right? WELLITIS. I was never allowed a cell phone until my mum thought I really needed one. Apparently it took 19 years, and my brother only 16. How come? I dunno.

I sort of spontaneously got my nose pierced yesterday. Just a little stud. I was scared to death over nothing, as usual. The dude did it so fast, I didn't even feel it. Yesterday was fun. I also taught a friend how to ride my horse. He had never even seen a horse in person let alone ride one. You could really tell he was having fun, which made me happy. AND OMG, I got to ride the new horse, Dak. I couldn't believe Doug (his owner) offered. That horse is brilliant. Simply amazing.

My dad took me and a friend to Grand Bend today, a real nice beach about 3 hours from where I live. It was nice to relax once more before the stress of school consumes me. I got a lot of sun and fresh air though, and I'm falling asleep as I write this. OH, and I got hit in the head by a frisbee today.
I think that's it. Kay g'night. I don't feel well anymore.
