I think so.

August is over.

Iknowiknowiknowiknowiknow...I've been slacking. Slacking doesn't even begin to describe it. I've accomplished NOTHING art wise this summer. But hey, maybe it's what I needed. I don't know. Ima try harder now that school is starting again, promise.

I noticed I haven't written a journal at all since I started working. I'm changing that right now, but I'm really tired, so bear with me here. If I can remember right, this is the sequence of events which happened to be my summer:

:bulletgreen:Let's start at the beginning.. my dad actually took a liking to Roarie, so I don't have to worry about that anymore. She is a lot bigger now, and crazier than ever. I've actually considered changing her name to Kamikazi. I can't wait until she gets declawed next week..my back and legs can't take anymore of her surprise attacks.

:bulletgreen:I ended up getting that job I mentioned before.. the one about building and packaging bumpers for GM Dodge Ram pickup trucks. I started 2 days after my birthday. The work was easy, just very repetitive and I could see it doing a number on your joints if you kept at it for years on end. I only had to do it for 2 months, and my wrist twinges if I turn it a certain way. The last week of work, they had me run some of the welders. Not very fun, but I did get over my fear of sparkelers. My boss was awesome, especially because his name was Willard. He was from Newfoundland, and I only ever understood like every 3rd word that came out of his mouth. On the last day of work, he talked to me for half an hour about turkeys. The people I worked with were the best and I'm going to miss them the most, and I curse them for getting me hooked on yet another TV series that I don't really need to be watching.

:bulletgreen: Mid July my mother, my best friend and I took a trip down to Lexington Kentucky for Breyerfest, pretty much a horse festival for those who don't know. It's sort of become an annual trip now, which I'm glad of because it's so beautiful there. I took a bazillion pictures, as usual, and I've been too lazy to post/edit many of them, as usual. Every year we have gone, it's always been so hot that you could barely breathe. I packed my clothes accordingly. We arrive, and it's sooo bloody cold, we had to buy sweaters because all we packed were shorts and t-shirts. Thank god for the heated pool at the hotel. Last year we were there, my mum and I met some great people from Iowa, a mother and her son. I had really hoped we would run into them again the following year, but doubted it. But, sure enough, we found them again this year and had more of an oppertunity to talk. And we went for the best trail ride I have ever been on in my life. I didn't think it would be possible to top last years, but I was mistaken.

:bulletgreen:Few weeks later was the family reunion at my grandma's cottage up north on Hubbard lake. It rained the whole time we were there but one day, but still found ways to entertain ourselves. I was reminded how much I fail at volleyball, and my crazy ass friend decided to go tubing in skinny jeans and a t-shirt. :XD: I don't tube. I point and laugh. *is chicken* Oh, and we made a short documentary about deer because we happened to run into 3 wild ones when I had my camera with me.

:bulletgreen:My mum, my cousin, my aunt and I went to Virginia for 5 days in the middle of August. We made a day trip to Washington DC and saw the White House, Washington Monument and pretty much every other tourist attraction/memorial there, including part of the Smithsonian museum and National Gallery. It was over 92 degrees that day, so it was pretty miserable to walk everywhere. We ended up coming home a day early because my house finally sold.

:bulletgreen:The house officially was sold this time, and they wanted us moved out in 2 weeks. Not gonna happen. We agreed on September 25th as the moving day, so I've been packing a ton lately, and will continue to do so over the next couple weeks. My mum ended up buying a house in Amherstburhg about 7 mins more in town from the house I live in now, which also happens to be my ex's house. Fun. Guess who gets his room? Aaaand my dad bought a house in Lasalle about 10 minutes away from this house. It's closer to my school, but both my parents know I've decided to just live with whomever I want, when I want sort of deal.

:bulletgreen:I start my Interior Design classes at St.Clair College this Wednesday. My schedule is kinda crazy, and clashes a bit with my horse feeding schedule, but I'll work it out. I do get Tuesdays off though which is pretty awesome. Textbooks are insanely expensive by the way. So are parking passes. My gawd.

:bulletgreen:IGOTACELLPHONE. Yeah, I know..big deal, right? WELLITIS. I was never allowed a cell phone until my mum thought I really needed one. Apparently it took 19 years, and my brother only 16. How come? I dunno.

:bulletgreen:I sort of spontaneously got my nose pierced yesterday. Just a little stud. I was scared to death over nothing, as usual. The dude did it so fast, I didn't even feel it. Yesterday was fun. I also taught a friend how to ride my horse. He had never even seen a horse in person let alone ride one. You could really tell he was having fun, which made me happy. AND OMG, I got to ride the new horse, Dak. I couldn't believe Doug (his owner) offered. That horse is brilliant. Simply amazing.

:bulletgreen:My dad took me and a friend to Grand Bend today, a real nice beach about 3 hours from where I live. It was nice to relax once more before the stress of school consumes me. I got a lot of sun and fresh air though, and I'm falling asleep as I write this. OH, and I got hit in the head by a frisbee today.

I think that's it. Kay g'night. I don't feel well anymore. :(

Sooo, my mum got me a kitten for my birthday, which was totally unexpected since I already have 2 cats and we're trying to sell the house, lol. Honestly, I think my mother just bought her to piss my dad off so he'll move out of the house. He's away for the weekend and has no idea we have her. I'm really not looking forward to later when he comes home. She's a real sweetheart, but she's psychotic. I named her Roarie, and currently she is discovering how amusing a computer screen is when words move across the page. Which is better than yesterday when she found out how fun it was to walk on the keyboard when I was trying to comment and reply to everyone. My other cats have no idea what to think of her yet. One is deathly terrified of her, and he's at least 5X her size, and the other one just hisses and growls at her. I have a few pictures of here: [link] [link]

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their summer.

Just random thoughts.

Bleh. My photography has really gone downhill lately. Not that I was all that good to begin with, but I'm sure you all have noticed it hasn't been good recently. I just can't think of any ideas. Also, my computer died, which means no more Photoshop. I lost every single picture I ever took within the past year and 3 months, and I don't think I can get them back. It's really hard to be motivated to take photos again when I think of all the ones I lost, and also because I can't edit them the way I want to anymore.

A few weeks ago, my neighbour sold me his Canon EOS Rebel X S film camera for $50, with 6 sets of batteries and 9 rolls of film, including a roll of black & white. I was so happy. It was a great deal. It takes very nice pictures, though I haven't developed any yet. I've wanted a camera with manual focus for a long time. But, because it's a film camera, I doubt I'll get to put any of the photos I take with it on here. The scanner would probably butcher the quality. Oh, and I named him Ichabod.

Oh my god, a bug just fell from the ceiling! XD Haha. Anyways, I can't find my coloured pencils. ANY of them..and I have tons. I can't even find my crappy ones. I haven't been able to find my good Prismacolour pencils for almost a year now. It's a shame too, I wanted to do another coloured drawing. Maybe I'll find them when it comes time to move and I have to clean everything out.

There is now a week left of school until exams begin, and then I'm done high school forever. Technically I was done last year when I graduated, but I came back for an extra year because I couldn't decide what to take in College. I'm scared shitless to start that in the fall. What a change. And I won't know anyone either. >.<

So, right across the street from my house, there's a mushroom farm. It just opened up again after the previous renters got evicted for growing weed in the back. After looking for a job FOREVER with no luck, I applied there. It would be simple. I wouldn't even have to drive, just walk across the road. My brother applied with me. Now, I guess I have to love my brother cause' he's family, but I'm not kidding at all when I say he's one of the most clueless people I have ever lived to know. Anyways, so we went to apply together, and the guy there was very nice. He said he would put us first on the list because we were neighbours, and that he would try his hardest to find something for both of us to do. For once, things had started to look good, job wise. The next day, I found a copy of my brother's resume lying around, and I couldn't resist reading it. I didn't know whether to laugh, or feel sorry for him, but he should have asked for help writing it. One sentence read, "I like golf. It's my favourite sport".
About a week later, they call and they ask for my brother to work the weekend. They called again today, and tell him that they want him to work for 2-3 hours a day everyday for the next few months. I got really angry at the world just then. I really needed a job. There's no reason I can't power wash, or lift things or whatever the hell they're having him do. Sexist bastards. >.>

House hunting isn't going so well. Neither is house selling. We had an offer, but it was way too low, and it ended up falling through anyways. We had found the perfect house; it was just great. Awesome price, beautiful inside, great area, and it was right across the street from one of my friend's. It was everything we were looking for. My mum called the realtor so we could look at it again the following day, but someone had already bought it. I was so upset for weeks. We looked at a bunch on Sunday after I was feeling a little bit better from my drinking episode. Oh god, the one house we looked at smelled like old people and wet dog combined. I wanted to leave as soon as we walked in.

I'm almost caught up on finishing all the drawings I owe people. Right now I'm working on the hardest drawing I have ever done in my life, and I have to finish it before school ends. After I catch up, I would like to draw the rest of the members from Avenged Sevenfold, and maybe do one or two in colored pencil. I also want to do more pen and ink. I really miss it.

I possibly got a summer job, thanks to my father. I really need it, so keep your fingers crossed. :) I'm getting my wisdom teeth pulled 2 days after my birthday, which is in a month. That should be fun. But, on the bright side, ~nattavii08 is taking me to a concert on the 14th. :)

I think that's all I wanted to complain about. Sorry it took so long. Love you all, and hope you're well.

The Rules of the Game are simple:
Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note
with 16 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you.
At the end, choose 16 people to be tagged.
--- you have to tag the person who tagged you.
If I tagged you, it's because I want know more
about you.---

1) In the past 2 weeks, I have watched 3 entire seasons of the TV show Bones. Therefore, I have no life.

2) I often forget what I'm talking about, and stop mid-sentence.

3) My cat howls. For real.

4) My best friends include people who have: ripped their own bra in half dismounting my horse, slipped and fell in a massive mud puddle in my backyard, thought that BYOB stood for 'Bring Your Own Beef', whipped a muddy marshmellow in someone's face - and got it stuck in between their glasses, and lived in my closet since last fall.

5) Currently, I have more clothes on my floor than I do in my closet.

6) Technically, I should be in school right now. But, my mum had spinal fluid taken out yesterday, and she's not feeling well. My dog is dying, and she can't drive, so I took them both to the animal hospital today. I don't think he's coming home.

7) A couple days ago, my neighbour gave me a huge box of mushrooms. Enough to eat them everyday for a month.

8) I think my carpet is green, but no one else agrees with me.

9) I'm going to Virginia for a week in August with my cousins. We're getting a cabin in the woods, going horseback riding everyday, and we can go fishing and boating as well.

10) There are currently 7 pillows and 3 blankets on my bed.

11) When I was 4, I wanted to be a dolphin trainer.

12) I've been able to open child-proof bottles and containers since I was 3. Today, my 16 year old brother still can't open them.

13) I have the sudden urge to go outside.

14) I'm seeing Avenged Sevenfold, Korn and The Used in concert on May 15th. It's outdoors..and the weather calls for severe thunder storms. :\

15) It's really hard to think of 16 random things that you don't already know about.

16) I bought purple and grey contacts.

I don't tag any particular people. If you want to do this, go for it.
